About Ask an IP
The Ask an IP is an educational series hosted by the Acute Communicable Disease and Control (ACDC) Infection Prevention Team to discuss the infection prevention practices in the skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.
With the goal of fostering discussion among LA County SNFs, this program includes the following:
- Core infection prevention concepts
- Open and guided Q&A
- Case studies
- IP resources
- Subject matter experts: IPs, nurses, physicians, epidemiologists
This series is meant to be an all teach all learn environment. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we learned the importance of establishing deeper connections and better communication between Infection Prevention Team members. By working together, we can improve resident safety within Los Angeles County healthcare settings.
The monthly sessions in 2024 will be held on the second Wednesday of every month from 1:30pm – 2:30pm. Unlike previous sessions, registration is required to attend the sessions in 2024.
