California Department of Public Health (CDPH)

Program activities, reports and NHSN data management; various topics related to HAIs including prevention and control guidelines and outbreak management; free 2 day course providing basic infection prevention education for infection preventionists and associated staff; the(AFL) is a letter from the Licensing and Certification (L&C) Program to health facilities that are licensed or certified by L&C. The information contained in the AFL may include changes in requirements in healthcare, enforcement, new technologies, and scope of practice, or general information that affects the health facility; CAHAN is the state's web-based information and communications system available on a 24/7/365 basis for distribution of health alerts, dissemination of prevention guidelines, coordination of disease investigation efforts, preparedness planning, and other initiatives that strengthen state and local preparedness
