Healthy Brain LA
Maintaining good brain health throughout life can help reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Alzheimer's disease and related dementias have a profound impact on people with the condition, their families, and society as a whole. As the population continues to age, this impact will only intensify. Currently, an estimated 190,300 Los Angeles County residents aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's dementia.1
In response to this public health challenge, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health launched Healthy Brain LA to encourage individuals and communities to prioritize brain health and address the impact of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in Los Angeles County.
