Living with Dementia
Receiving an Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia diagnosis is a life-changing event.1 It can take time to process and adjust to this new reality. - Establish a regular sleep schedule – Try and go to sleep and wake up at the same time each day.
- Maintain an active lifestyle – Continuing doing activities you enjoy like exercising or spending time with friends and family.
- Keep yourself safe – Always carry identification with you and make necessary changes in your home to prevent falls.
- Plan for the future – Making decisions about future care and finances can be hard, but they are necessary to help you and your loved ones feel more prepared.
