Viral Respiratory Surveillance for LA County

archived reports

These reports provide crucial surveillance data on the occurrence and impact of respiratory illnesses in Los Angeles County. Respiratory virus surveillance reporting has evolved over time - previously separate reports for influenza and COVID-19 surveillance are now integrated into the RespWatch dashboard, which also includes data on RSV and other respiratory pathogens since 2023.

Note: The reporting period for each respiratory virus season begins during Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) week 40 and ends week 39 of the following year. MMWR weeks refer to the sequential numbering of weeks (Sunday through Saturday) during a calendar year.
