The Los Angeles County Preconception Health Collaborative formed in early 2007 to serve as one of three teams in the country chosen by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and CityMatCH as a demonstration project for the integration of preconception health into public health practice. The collaborative is comprised of public health organizations that provide services supporting health throughout people’s reproductive lives.
