The Child and Adolescent Health Program and Policy (CAHPP) unit of the Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Programs provides leadership and guidance to youth-serving organizations and works in collaboration with local, regional, statewide and national organizations to achieve health equity for adolescents & young adults in Los Angeles County. CAHPP supports the Department of Public Health’s mission to protect health, prevent disease and injury, and promote the health and well-being for all persons in Los Angeles County by working with other DPH and County programs and community based organizations to address various issues of importance to adolescent wellbeing, including: youth homelessness, sexual health, youth justice, boys and young men of color, violence against girls and young women, and the health of youth in foster care.
