How do you protect yourself from HIV?

• Use a condom during sex;

• Reduce your number of sexual partners;

• Take PEP if you think you were exposed in the last 72 hours to HIV;

• Ask your doctor about taking PrEP to stay HIV negative;

• You and your partner(s) get routinely tested for HIV (every 6 months); and

• Avoid sharing injection drug paraphernalia.
