What is the JUMPP Community Coalition?
The Los Angeles County Join Us in Moving People to Play (JUMPP) Community Coalition is a collaborative of park, health, school, faith, for-profit, and community-based organizations working together to promote access to safe physical activity spaces for all families in Los Angeles County, enabling them to play, learn, and maintain well-being.

- Expanding the scope to incorporate additional strategies for promotional physical activity
Empowers Communities by
- Establishing a local information hub for shared use, school health, and park prescriptions
- Fostering a networking hub for individuals and organizations promoting physical activity, safe recreation spaces, and outdoor spaces
- Providing a resource hub for accessing tools, guidelines, and information related to physical activity promotion strategies across sectors

Mission
Support community initiatives across sectors to activate inclusive safe spaces for
families to foster wellness by playing, learning, and connecting with others in Los Angeles County.

Organizational Structure: Enhance JUMPP’s organizational capacity to fulfill the coalition’s mission and vision.

Identify needs and gaps, collect and develop resources, and
increase community access to and utilization of spaces and facilities
for physical activity.
Collaboration
Build a strong, connected, cross-sector network of organizations and
stakeholders committed to the coalition's mission.
Communication
Gather, analyze, and disseminate relevant data and research to inform our
efforts moving our communities to better health.
Advocacy
Monitor, create, execute,
assess, recommend, and educate
on policies on physical activity
and safe recreational spaces at
local and state levels, guided
by recognized community needs
and priorities.
