Center for Health Equity

The Center for Health Equity (CHE) is a division within the Executive Office of the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (Public Health).

The Center for Health Equity works to ensure that everyone in Los Angeles County has the resources and opportunities needed for optimal health and well-being throughout their lives.  The Center strives to advance racial, social, economic and environmental justice in partnership with committed County partners, local organizations and community members.

The Center will augment existing health equity efforts in communities and seeks to:

• Identify, adopt and disseminate best health equity practices;
• Connect, coordinate and collaborate on health equity-related work; and
• Increase collective capacity and commitment to create an inclusive, just and respectful county.
