Recommendations for LGBTQ+ Data Collection

The Center for Health Equity strives to ensure access to timely data to drive equitable planning and promote accountability. This will require better data collection methods for historically underrepresented communities, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirited (LGBTQ+) individuals. Currently, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health is considering proposed questions to improve the collection of sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data. This was inspired by the community feedback from our LGBTQ+ Community Forum held in October 2018. Click here for the event summary.
