Rabid bats are found every year in Los Angeles County. The location of each rabid bat detected is shown by a red star on the map.

Areas on the maps without red stars can still have rabid bats. Red stars represent bats that have tested positive for rabies after they were found near people or pets, then reported to Animal Control and then tested by Public Health.
