Our Mission
The Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Los Angeles County was established in 2004 to coordinate, empower, and mobilize the efforts of individuals, agencies and organizations to reduce tobacco-related disparities, disease and death by reducing and eliminating tobacco use throughout Los Angeles County. The Coalition meets quarterly and consists of concerned residents, several Los Angeles County programs, community organizations, universities, clinics/hospitals, city program staff, and health voluntary organizations.
The Coalition’s priorities are to eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke, reduce youth access to tobacco, limit availability and access to newer tobacco products, increase cessation, and promote tobacco-free hospitals, clinics and schools.
