June 2022 Spotlight

June is Oral Health Month, a great time mid-year to do a ‘checkup' on your oral health!  Consider taking the steps as listed below, and you'll be well on your way to a healthier mouth and brighter smile:

Brush twice a day.

Brushing your teeth twice a day, every day for two minutes is the way to go!  And remember to take your time, moving the toothbrush in gentle, circular motions to remove germs that can lead to gum disease.

Don’t forget your tongue.

Germs can build up on your tongue and cause bad breath and other oral health problems. So gently brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth.

Brush with fluoride toothpaste.

Brushing your teeth with toothpaste that has fluoride, helps keep teeth strong and protects against tooth decay.

Floss once a day.

Flossing helps to remove germs and debris from between your teeth and helps to reduce gum disease.

Drink more water.

Drinking water is the best for good oral health.  Drinking water helps to lower sticky and sugary foods and beverages in between brushes.

See your dentist at least twice a year.

Seeing your dentist for cleanings and checkups at least twice a year, is a must.  Your dentist can spot oral health issues that you may not see, like tooth decay and gum disease.
