The Los Angeles Collaborative for Healthy Active Children was formed to
address the epidemic of overweight and unfit children in Los Angeles County.
It is comprised of a group of over 100 stakeholders including school
districts, Head Start providers, health care providers, community-based
organizations, County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health programs,
County and City Department of Parks and Recreation, faith-based organizations,
the Network for a Healthy California, the American Heart Association,
the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, the Dairy
Council of California, the California Food Policy Advocates and many more!
