Home visiting is a service where trained home visitors provide family support and information for parents in their own home or wherever they are most comfortable.
The Los Angeles County Perinatal and Early Childhood Home Visitation Consortium is a network of about 50 perinatal and early childhood home visitation programs, maternal and child health organizations, advocacy groups, and stakeholders. Find the support you need, whether you are pregnant, pregnant and parenting, or parenting a child 0-5 years old. In LA County, Black/African American babies are two to three times more likely to die before their first birthday than babies of other races. Black/African American women are also four times more likely to die as a result of pregnancy complications than women of other races. Harmful stress from the trauma of racism and prejudice that Black women face daily is the cause. The LA County Departments of Public Health and Health Services and First 5 LA bring together leading community organizations and community members to end these injustices and ensure a joyous and healthy birth for every family.
Office of Clients' Rights Advocacy (OCRA) provides advocacy and legal services for clients in all 21 regional centers throughout California. There is a Clients’ Rights Advocate (CRA) for each Regional Center. The CRA helps with legal problems, conducts trainings and investigates denials of rights.
WIC The Women’s, Infants & Children’s Supplemental Food Program provides breastfeeding and nutrition education and food vouchers for low-income pregnant or nursing women, infants, and children (birth to 5).
Ethnic-focused parent support, advocacy and education organizations assist families who have difficulty getting traditional services. They also provide parent education and support groups. A number of parent organizations have emerged focusing on the needs of specific racial, ethnic and linguistically diverse families.

The Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Programs is a division of the Department of Public Health in Los Angeles County. It is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluating of services that address the health priorities and primary needs of infants, mothers, fathers, children and adolescents, and their families in Los Angeles County through ongoing assessment, policy development and quality assurance.
Mental Health Services Provides mental health services for children birth to 5 and their families. Birth to 5 liaisons at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health answer questions about mental health concerns and available services and programs, and help families by making referrals and connections.

Reaching Out: Intimate Partner Violence Resource, Information, Safety booklet includes hotline information and guidance for those in need of help with intimate partner (domestic) violence.
Peace Over Violence is a sexual and domestic violence, intimate partner stalking, child abuse and youth violence prevention center headquartered in Los Angeles. POV is committed to social service, social change and social justice. Support is available in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.
