My trash wasn’t picked up. Whom do I call?
There are over two hundred waste collectors permitted to operate in Los
Angeles County. If you call our duty officer at (626) 430-5540 and
provide us with the name of the city you reside in, we can provide you
with the name of the refuse collection company that serves your area.
My neighbor’s trash smells horrible. What can be done about it?
Nuisance complaints regarding trash odors are handled by an inspector
dispatched from the local District Office nearest to you. If you call our
duty officer at (626) 430-5540 and provide us with the general
location within Los Angeles we can give you the appropriate phone
number.
Are there disposal sites where I can take my trash directly to?
On our Facilities page, you will find a list of landfills and transfer
stations that are open to the public.
How should I dispose of my household hazardous waste?
Check with your local city to see if there are any household hazardous
waste drop-off points/round-ups. Call Los Angeles County Public
Works at
1-888-CLEAN-LA for scheduled household hazardous waste collection
events.
