Sector Engagement Overview

The Sector Engagement Team (SET) strengthens public health in Los Angeles County by building and sustaining trusted partnerships across community sectors and creating systems and improving how Public Health connects and collaborates with those partners.

Community Partnerships

SET connects Public Health with leaders and organizations across sectors such as education, healthcare, faith-based organizations, business, labor, and community-based organizations.

The team shares timely, relevant public health information, elevates community perspectives, and helps ensure resources and services reach communities effectively. SET builds on relationships established during the COVID-19 pandemic to support ongoing engagement on emerging health priorities.

Internal Infrastructure

SET also strengthens internal systems to improve communication, coordination, and collaboration across Public Health programs. This work helps ensure programs engage communities and partners in a more strategic, consistent, and effective way.
