Per California Health and Safety Code, Section 120325-120370, only medical exemptions issued in CAIR-ME by a physician licensed in California (or proof of receiving required vaccines) meet the documentation requirements for school admission/attendance.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Vaccine Preventable Disease Control Program (VPDCP) is committed to keeping students healthy, safe, and in school. The resources below are intended to help day care/childcare facilities, schools, and institutes of higher education (public, private, and/or faith-based), promote immunization and prevent outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases. Information includes guidance on how to review, maintain, and report student immunization records to ensure students are up to date on the vaccines required by law for school entry.
