Request for Proposals

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) is administering a Request for Proposals (RFPs) process to solicit research proposals and select qualified researchers to conduct the Aliso County Disaster Research Health Study (Health Study). The goals and priorities of the Health Study, informed by community input and scientific expertise, are to investigate and evaluate the potential short and long-term physical, mental, behavioral, social and community health impacts of the 2015-2016 Aliso Canyon Disaster, the largest gas blowout in the history of the United States at the SoCal Gas Company's Aliso Canyon gas storage facility in the Santa Susana Mountains of Los Angeles County.

The Health Study will be conducted by third-party researchers solicited through the competitive RFP process and guided and evaluated by an independent Scientific Oversight Committee (SOC). Once chosen, the researchers will periodically report their progress to and receive guidance from the SOC until the completion of the Health Study.

The RFP including information on the proposal submission process can be found on Department of Public Health's Contracts and Grants website.
