About Drinking Water Program
The Drinking Water Program is responsible for regulating State small water systems and wells construction and decommission pursuant to State laws and regulations. The program is responsible for the following:
- Review, approve, inspect, and permit the construction or decommission of private, commercial, public or municipal water wells, monitoring wells, or soil borings within Los Angeles County.
- Conduct inspections and surveys of small water systems. Monitor and ensure said water system meet chemical and bacteriological standards.
- Involves in work plan approvals for construction and decommissioning of private water wells and monitoring wells within the County of Los Angeles.
