About Cross Connection and Water Pollution Control Program

The Cross Connection Program conducts water-use surveys to a variety of federal, state, city, and private facilities / businesses to determine if interconnections exist between industrial (non-potable) and potable water systems.

These potential hazards are evaluated and identified within the premises which may require the installation of a testable backflow prevention assembly. Per code, these backflow prevention assemblies are required to be tested on an annual basis by qualified Los Angeles County Certified Backflow Testers.
