Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Initiative
The mission of this initiative is to reduce and prevent
substance use disorder and overdose in Los Angeles
County and the Metro LA Region (SPA 4). The overall goal
is to increase awareness of SUD and promote effective
strategies to reduce the impact of substance use in SPA
4 communities. For more information or to request a
presentation, please contact
Melanie Niedjelski.
Sexual Health Initiative
To address the high rates of sexually transmitted
infections in SPA 4, staff work in collaboration with
community partners to share resources and coordinate
efforts to promote safe sexual health behaviors and
practices among multiple at-risk populations (youth,
TAY, re-entry, and LGBTQ populations). To request a
presentation, please contact
Melanie Niedjelski.
