About Camps and School Program
The Camps and Schools Program is responsible for the enforcement of local and state public health laws and regulations pertaining to Children's Camps, Organized Camps and School Cafeterias.
Los Angeles County Code Titles 8 and 11, California Health and Safety Code, and California Code of Regulations Title 17, California Building Code, Title 24:
- All Organized Camps and School Cafeterias that reside in Los Angeles County are required to hold a Public Health Permit in order to operate the establishment.
- All Children's Camps that reside in Los Angeles County unincorporated areas are required to hold a Public Health Permit in order to operate the establishment.
- Businesses located in the City of Vernon Long Beach, or Pasadena, should review local guidelines to remain in compliance.
