About Environmental Protection

The branch is comprised of seven technical, specialty programs: Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention, Cross Connections and Water Pollution Control, Drinking Water, Onsite Wastewater Treatment, Recreational Waters, Solid Waste Inspection and Enforcement, Solid Waste Permitting & Surveillance. Although the programs are very diverse in nature, they share one common thread: the protection of public health as well as the environment.
