Health Education
Mission Statement
Health Educators provide consultation to community groups in the area, as well as plan, direct and coordinate health education programs throughout the community.
We fullfill our mission by participating in the overall partnership between the Service Planning Area 2 Health Office and the area’s constituencies by:
- Developing and producing targeted community needs assessments;
- Developing guidelines for health promotion and education activities;
- Evaluating actions plans and health promotion and education strategies;
- Providing consultation and technical assistance to other county professionals, health advocates and community-based organizations, and local school districts on program planning of health promotion and education activities.
