Change Leader Academy (CLA) Orientation

Are you ready to execute your service design implementation plan and lead transformational change?

The Change Leader Academy (CLA) provides the tools and skills your agency needs to implement real, measurable improvements that benefit your clients and enhance your services. The CLA is based on the NIATx Model of Process Improvement. This field-tested approach empowers organizations to streamline operations, improve client outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. Participants will learn to apply the model through practical, hands-on activities that they can implement immediately in their work settings.

The CLA Orientation is MANDATORY for all providers who wish to participate in and/or submitted start-up invoices for Service Design Follow-Up Implementation Process Improvement (2-G)

What to Expect: CLA Orientation Session Overview

Who should attend the orientation: Executive sponsors (CEO, Executive Director, Deputy Directors, etc.), future change leaders (Managers or Supervisors), and change team members (office or front-line staff). In this interactive pre-workshop orientation, we will introduce you to the fundamentals of the Change Leader Academy.
  • Receive an overview of the NIATx model and its Learn-Do-Share approach to process improvement.
  • Get familiar with the expectations and structure of the Change Leader Academy.
  • Identify who should attend the two-day Change Leader Academy workshop.
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify goals ahead of the full workshop.

CB&I Activity Tracker Pop-Up Session

The FY 24-25 SAPC Capacity Building and Incentives (CB&I) Activity Tracker, also known as the "Decision-Making Tool," has been updated and is available on the Forms and Invoices section of the SAPC Payment Reform website. Developed in collaboration with SAPC, this tool is designed to support SAPC providers with effectively navigating the available funding opportunities and workforce investments made possible through FY 24-25 CB&I.

In this pop-up session, we will:
  • Walk you through the updated CB&I Activity Tracker step by step, reviewing each tab and explain how to use it to make informed decisions about your funding and programs.
  • Clarify the difference between expenditure verification and non-verification, identifying whether funds need to be spent on specific items or passed through to staff for bonuses such as the bilingual and LPHA retention/loyalty payments.
  • Discuss strategies for investing in your workforce and programs and link back to SAPC’s new budget summary document, highlighting the ability to budget for a 60-day operating reserve and a program investment fund.

This session will include a Q&A portion to answer all your pressing questions about deliverables, funding requirements, and investment opportunities.

We are excited to invite you to the first training in our Language Assistance Plan (LAP) series.
The series is designed to guide you through the development and implementation of your agency’s Language Assistance Plan (1I). This session is mandatory for all providers participating in this capacity-building effort and will provide the essential information you need to complete your LAP.

Why Attend? This training is your first step toward creating a comprehensive Language Assistance Plan that will help you better serve clients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and ensure effective communication with non-English-speaking individuals and those who are deaf or hard of hearing. This session will equip you with a clear understanding of how to assess your language assistance needs and develop actionable strategies to meet them. You'll also gain access to resources, tools, and technical assistance to support your agency throughout the process.

This year’s AEFH training series is designed to build upon your progress from last year. We will integrate the components of year one (1) CB&I into a comprehensive business strategy, utilizing the Impact Logic Model (ILM) framework.

Topics:

  • Enhance Organizational Capacity and Growth: Learn how to expand your organization’s capabilities and drive growth through CB&I, ensuring long-term success.
  • Refine and Implement Impact Logic Models (ILMs): Learn how to effectively use ILMs as a business management tool to align your CB&I SMART goals with day-to-day operations.
  • Enhance Financial Strategy Skills: Develop the skills to navigate the new fee-for-service (FFS) and future value-based reimbursement (VBR) models and ensure financial sustainability and growth.
  • Integrate the Balanced Scorecard: Leverage this strategic framework alongside Impact Logic Models to track SMART goal progress, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven decisions that drive long-term success, sustainability, and growth.
    • The data from your Balanced Scorecard will be included in your “Goal Progress Tracker” to receive payment for the FY 2024-2025 CB&I Assessing and Enhancing Financial Health Follow-Up Deliverable (3-C).
  • Foster Proactive Leadership: Shift your organization from reactive to proactive, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
  • One-on-One Coaching: Benefit from customized coaching sessions with business subject matter experts (SMEs) to address your organization’s specific challenges and goals.
