The Office of Planning is engaged in several different projects related to policy and planning. Below is a list of some of our current work:

Public Health Strategic Plan, 2008 Update- Based on the Strategic Plan developed in 2002, the Office of Planning has revised the plan and is currently developing operational plans with Public Health programs.

Area Health Office Assessment- This project focused on the day-to-day operations of the Department of Public Health's field services and whether the Department is aligned to the needs of the communities of Los Angeles County. The findings and recommendations were published in a report in May 2008. Several of the recommendations are currently being considered and some have already been implemented.

American Public Health Association 2009 Annual Meeting- The Office of Planning will be making one presentation at the 2009 conference.
