A simple search on the Internet for "strategic plan" will elicit numerous strategic plans with varying degrees of quality and focus from private businesses to non-profit organizations. The following additional resources act as guides in the development of a strategic plan. The Office of Planning does not officially endorse these resources; rather, we refer to them as helpful tools that provide worthwhile direction and tips for creating a strategic plan.
Theory at a Glance: A Guide for Health Promotion Practice This document describes theories of health-related behaviors, the processes of shaping behaviors, how to effectively plan to address behavior change and the effects of community and environmental factors on behavior. It provides tools to solve problems, plan efficiently, and assess the effectiveness of health promotion programs.
