The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cautions residents who are planning to visit the below Los Angeles County beaches to avoid swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters:
OCEAN WATER CLOSURE:
· Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
Residents and visitors are advised to avoid contact with ocean water and wet sand in the areas noted above. This will remain in effect until further notice.
BEACH AREA WARNINGS:
· Redondo Beach Pier at Redondo County Beach
100 yards up and down the coast from the pier.
· Santa Monica Canyon Storm Drain at Will Rogers State Beach
100 yards up and down the coast from the creek.
· Santa Monica Pier at Santa Monica State Beach
100 yards up and down the coast from the pier.
· Escondido Creek at Escondido State Beach
Entire swim area.
These warnings have been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested.
BEACH AREAS NOW CLEARED:
Warnings have been lifted for the following beach areas where recent sample results identified water quality levels within State standards:
· Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach
· Topanga Canyon Lagoon at Topanga County Beach
