LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services has closed the beach in Redondo Beach from the Redondo Beach Pier north to Avenue D due to a raw sewage spill. Approximately 10,000 gallons of raw sewage has entered the ocean at Sapphire Street in Redondo Beach.
This stretch of beach in Redondo Beach will be closed until health officials can verify that the bacteria levels in the ocean are at safe levels for the public.
