Beach Closure
Avoid Water Contact from Ballona Creek to Grand Avenue

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) has posted closure signs due to medical debris and bacteria levels affecting the area from Ballona Creek to Grand Avenue at Dockweiler State Beach.

Public Health officials are advising residents to avoid contact with ocean water, wet sand, and any materials washed up on shore in the area. The origin of the debris is still under investigation and clean-up efforts are in effect.
