Children's Planning Council The Los Angeles County Children's Planning Council is a countywide public/private collaborative, dedicated to improving the lives of children and families by encouraging partnerships, promoting the use of data, developing resources and tools, and emphasizing the importance of outcomes and results.

Los Angeles Community of Promise The Los Angeles Community of Promise partners are completely committed to mobilizing people from every sector of American life to build the character and competence of our nation's youth by fulfilling the Five Promises philosophy of America's Promise: 1. fostering and building ongoing relationships between youth and caring parents, mentors, tutors, coaches, etc.; 2. Safe Places - creating safe places for youth with structured activities during non-school hours; 3. A Healthy Start - help guide and meet the health and nutritional needs of youth; 4. Marketable Skills - through effective education; and 5. Opportunities to Serve - to give back through community service.
