WHAT DOES JUMPP DO?

JUMPP serves as an information and resource hub for maximizing existing community resources for physical activity through joint/shared-use strategies. JUMPP’s efforts are guided by its 2015-2020 strategic plan, which has at its core is a commitment to equity and social justice.

WHAT IS JOINT/SHARED-USE?

Joint/Shared-Use refers to two or more entities entering into a written agreement to share indoor and/or outdoor spaces like gymnasiums, athletic fields and playgrounds to increase the number of recreation spaces available for community use. Partners share costs and risks.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JUMPP MEMBERSHIP?

Networking opportunities. Connect with cross-sectoral organizations and stakeholders with shared goals for health equity and access to safe spaces for physical activity for the general public. Access to resources. Get support and partnerships for grant opportunities, including the support of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Access to funding opportunities. JUMPP members will receive information on funding opportunities and be eligible for JUMPP partnerships and/or letters of support.

WHAT IS JUMPP?

The Los Angeles County Joint/Shared-Use Moving People to Play Task Force (JUMPP), is a collaborative of school, park, health, faith, for-profit, and community based organizations working together to foster access to safe physical activity spaces for all families in Los Angeles County.
