Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Tecla Mickoseff, Administrator, Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Hernan Vargas and the superb staff of the Harbor/UCLA Breast Clinic were presented with a scroll by Supervisor Don Knabe in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their excellent work in providing quality services for low-income women. The Breast Clinic was selected by the OWH Breast Health Steering Committee as a Performance Improvement Model and was a top ten award winner at the 2001 Los Angeles County Quality and Productivity Awards.
