The Community Oral Health Improvement Plan (COHIP)

Description
The Community Oral Health Improvement Plan (COHIP) is a five-year strategic plan to address the oral health priorities of our diverse community. It was approved for
publication by the CA Dept. of Public Health, Office of Oral Health, and the Los Angeles County Executive Branch and finalized on June 20, 2019. The print version was
distributed at our COHIP Oral Health Summit on August 1, 2019. The COHIP consists of six key objectives which are: Awareness and Health Literacy, Improved Access to Care,
Coordinated Care, Workforce Development, Policy Leadership, and Surveillance, Transparency and Accountability. The COHIP’s’ implementation will be carried out by the OHP,
six workgroups (based on the six key objectives of the COHIP) that work simultaneously towards implementing and monitoring the COHIP activities, and the Oral Health
Collaborative Consortium.
