Dear LA Collaborative Members,
As some of you may know, the funding for the LA Collaborative has ended. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we move through this transition. The most recent updates are listed below.
1. This change directly impacts the administrative support to plan quarterly meetings and advance the initiatives of the Collaborative.
2. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health will maintain the ListServ, which will continue to provide up-to-date events and job opportunities.
3. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) will fund Training Resource Centers, who are required to develop a multi-county coalition to connect with LA Collaborative members (our region will include LA, Orange and Ventura counties). This coalition will work to provide an opportunity to exchange information & resources, share best practices, extend mutual support and explore mutual interventions and cooperative efforts to provide nutrition education and obesity prevention services as authorized by SNAP-Ed and the California Department of Public Health Plan.
See page 17 on the document below for information on multi-county coalitions.
Thank you for supporting the Los Angeles Collaborative throughout the years. We will notify you as we receive more information regarding CDPH’s new platform to advance nutrition and physical activity efforts within LA County.
