Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District

The Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District was established with the passage of the Safe Neighborhood Parks Proposition of 1992. To date, the Open Space District has awarded nearly 1,400 grants to the 88 cities in Los Angeles County, various County agencies, conservancies and nonprofit organizations for open space acquisition, park development and rehabilitation as well as for several competitive grant programs. LA84 Foundation

The LA84 Foundation is celebrating 25 years of service to the youth of Southern California. The foundation was established to manage Southern California’s share of the surplus from the highly successful 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The Foundation received $93 million at its inception. Since it began operations in 1985, it has invested $189 million in sports programs serving more than two million youth in the eight Southern California counties of Los Angeles, Imperial, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura. Anthem Blue Cross has been serving the health care needs of Californians since 1937. Anthem, together with its branded affiliates, provides health care services to more than 8.3 million members.
