The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LAC DPH) recognizes that all communities are concerned about influenza (flu) and its effects on health and wellbeing. Influenza (flu) is a highly contagious virus that spreads easily, and can have serious impacts on children, pregnant women, aging adults and people with chronic conditions. The best protection against flu is getting vaccinated, and it is recommended that everyone aged 6 months or older get the flu vaccine each year. On this page you will find information and tools to help protect you, your family and community from being infected with flu.
