"2007 - Health Education Highlights and Accomplishments"
December's meeting was a chance for health educators to look back over the last year
to review our accomplishments. It was also an opportunity for us to look ahead to the
challenges and opportunities of 2008. Dr. Mohammed Forouzesh, Professor at California
State University, Long Beach and member of the HEA Advisory Board delivered an
inspirational presentation. Health educators Susanna Lam and Nicole Vick presented
two exciting projects from 2007. Ismael Aguila led us in a relaxing and
strengthening exercise break. Ismael, Physical Activity Coordinator for Network for
a Healthy California, taught the group some basic yoga moves and introduced his
organization's yoga program for adults and kids.
