Welcome to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Program's Web site.
The Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP) assures the preparedness and response capabilities of the Department of Public Health (DPH), the County, and partner agencies relative to the public health consequences of natural and man-made disasters and emergencies.
EPRP manages a variety of financial resources provided to the DPH and County to enhance preparedness including the $24 million Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant, $12 million in CDC and State Pandemic Influenza grants, and $2.5 million in special local property tax funds, known as Measure B funds, dedicated to emergency preparedness.
EPRP is DPH’s central point of contact for coordination with other emergency response entities including the State and Federal agencies, the Department of Health Services/Emergency Medical Services Agency, the Cities of Long Beach and Pasadena public health departments, local fire and police departments and the County Office of Emergency Management.
Thank You
