WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2020 – Astrochef LLC., a Rockwall, Texas establishment, is recalling approximately 7,363 pounds of pepperoni stuffed pizza sandwich products because the product is mislabeled and contains undeclared soy, a known allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products are labeled as pepperoni stuffed pizza sandwich products but may contain meatball stuffed pizza sandwich products inside the package.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10, 2020 – Culinary International, LLC, a Vernon, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 626 pounds of egg burrito products labeled as chicken burrito products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products contain eggs, a known allergen, which was not declared on the product label.

Shellfish from Suquamish Seafood

Suquamish Seafood recalls all shellfish harvested from 12/19/2019 to 1/8/2020 from the implicated portion of the Port Orchard Passage growing area, from the Agate Pass Bridge south to a line from Point Bolin east to Bainbridge Island. The recall also includes all shellfish harvested from any growing area and wet stored by Suquamish Seafood from 12/19/2019 through 1/9/2020. Illnesses are associated with the shellfish and an investigation is underway. The shellfish was distributed to Suquamish Seafood retail store, Clearwater Casino Resort, Harbour Public House, Central Market Mill Creek, and Chelsea Farms Oyster Bar.

Almark Foods is voluntarily recalling Hard-Boiled and Peeled Eggs in white plastic pails with white plastic lids due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, a Listeria monocytogenes infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The recall is being issued for the potential presence of E. coli. During routine FDA sampling of the five-pound bag product, results were found to be positive for E.coli.
