About Medical Marijuana Program

Effective January 1, 2018, Environmental Health will assume the responsibilities of the Medical Marijuana Program, formerly managed by the Office of Health Assessment and Epidemiology. This will benefit previous, current and potential clients of the Medical Marijuana Program, so they can continue to receive quality service in an effective, efficient, and timely manner.

The Medical Marijuana Program provides a medical marijuana identification card issuance and registry program for qualified patients and their caregivers. The Medical Marijuana Program allows qualified patients to apply and receive identification cards for themselves and their primary caregiver through Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the following locations:

Appointments are STRONGLY recommended. Walk-ins are only accepted as time allows. No appointments or walk-ins will be processed after 4:30 p.m.
