Environmental Planning and Evaluation Section performs administrative functions in support of the goals and objectives of Environmental Health. This section is headed by an Environmental Health Services Manager who also serves as the Ombudsman for Environmental Health.
The Ombudsman assists citizens and various industry constituents in resolving complex and sensitive complaints, problems, and disagreements within the jurisdiction of the Division. The Ombudsman accomplishes resolution through unbiased fact finding, investigating, and researching in a fair and independent manner. These findings may effect changes in the organization that increase effectiveness, efficiency, and enhance the overall delivery of services. The Ombudsman intervenes to ensure that the organization’s strategic goals are attained through quality improvement, productivity, risk management, communication, effective dissemination of information, and the satisfaction of legislative mandates.
