The Drinking Water Program is responsible for regulating small water systems and wells pursuant to State laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES:

• Reviews plans and performs inspections and surveys of all small water systems
• Checks the levels of bacteria, chemicals, and other elements within these systems
• Involved in work plan approvals for construction and decommissioning of private water wells and monitoring wells within the County of Los Angeles
• Field inspections for well permits
