Emergency Preparedness & Response Program
The mission of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Program is to ensure that the division of Environmental Health (EH) is able to protect the public from health hazards that occur after emergencies or disasters. We develop plans and establish procedures to coordinate our response with partner agencies. In order to be prepared, we provide training and conduct drills and exercises to create a workforce that is able to manage the health effects of any emergency. During an emergency or disaster, we assist the Division in utilizing the Standard Emergency Management System to meet the needs of the public we serve.
