Making the connection between social determinants and public health
To help support efforts that address key social and economic conditions in the county, DPH is making the connections between health and these conditions, known as the social determinants of health, through research and data analysis. Beginning with housing, the following reports and data profiles are intended to assist DPH staff, partners, and other stakeholders demonstrate how housing is a fundamental factor in determining health and wellbeing that requires intervention. These reports and profiles articulate the extent of housing issues in the county and their important role in health.
