- Recall how the ASAM Criteria assessment dimensions have shifted from the 3rd edition to the 4th edition
- Describe how the levels of care defined within the ASAM Criteria continuum of care for adults have shifted from the 3rd edition to the 4th edition.
- Discuss the major service standards required within each level of care defined by the ASAM Criteria 4th edition and the service standards that should be available throughout the continuum of care described by the ASAM Criteria.

Brian Hurley, MD, MBA, FAPA, DFASAM
Dr. Brian Hurley is an addiction physician and the Medical Director of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Prevention and Control in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. He is a previous president of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is a volunteer assistant clinical professor of addiction medicine at the UCLA Department of Family Medicine.
