Clinic Services, SPA 1, 2, 3, and 7

The Chief Physician I plans, manages, and evaluates the medical aspects of care provided in Clinic Services, with an aim to deliver prompt and effective services to residents while ensuring compliance with the highest medical and public health standards. Clinic Services delivers care through 14 public health centers (plus a satellite site on Skid Row) and collaborates with Community Services and communicable disease programs to conduct surveillance and medical case management of reportable communicable diseases, while containing the spread of communicable diseases. All Clinic Services medical program efforts are strategically developed to improve the health and wellbeing of LA County residents and are consistent with and support the Clinic Services’ public health measures and objectives, which are carried out in collaboration and partnership with other members of the DPH Leadership Team.

Physician Specialist – Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Program Physician Specialist – Medical Director
Antelope Valley Rehabilitation Center (AVRC)
Division of Substance Abuse Prevention and Control

The Antelope Valley Rehabilitation Center (AVRC) Medical Director position is an administrative and clinical position that will that will report to the SAPC Medical Director and Science Officer and serve as clinical leadership for the County-operated residential treatment facility, the AVRC. In this role, the AVRC Medical Director will shape program policy, planning, and development, assist with workforce development and clinical supervision/training, provide direct clinical services, and assist SAPC leadership with special projects and assignments. In doing so, this individual will have the opportunity to transform the County’s only residential treatment facility, and work with SAPC leadership to shape the delivery of SUD treatment and recovery support services for residents of one of the largest and most diverse specialty SUD systems in the nation.

Clinic Physician, Community Health Services Clinic Physician, Community Health Services (part-time, per session)

This position serves as a clinic physician in the tuberculosis and sexually transmitted disease clinics across various Service Planning Areas in the Community Health Services Division. The clinics are composed of teams of highly skilled and energetic clinicians, public health investigators, and administrators whose work informs and guides the County's progressive response to communicable and non-communicable diseases. The Clinic Physician provides medical care on a part-time, per clinic session basis and reports to the Area Medical Director (AMD).
