Average SAT Scores

The SAT-I is an exam that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities. These abilities relate to some of the things students need to be successful in college. SAT scores are used by colleges to help estimate how well students are likely to do at their school, and are a measure of college-preparedness.

Teacher Credentials

Statewide credentialing standards were implemented to ensure that children have competent and qualified teachers, a key measure of a school’s readiness to teach children. A full credential, which indicates a teacher is licensed to teach in California, is obtained by graduating from an accredited college, completing a teacher preparation program, and passing the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
